Behind the Scenes of Our New Tool-Free Sit/Stand Desk
The patent pending lever completely eliminates screws and tools, giving teams the option to quickly build, reconfigure, and move sit/stand desks within the office or between workspaces. Iconic Poppin finishes, including circular legs and pill-shaped feet, complete the desk’s modern design, while its intuitive LED handset and extended range of motion let your team move seamlessly from sitting to standing throughout the day.
“We considered how we can apply the learnings from our Series A Desk System, which has very few tool-free components, onto a standing desk,” says Adrián Gómez, Poppin’s Director of Engineering. “We started by decoupling the various components of a standing desk into top, leg, and foot. Then we isolated each component and built its own intelligence right in.”
By creating a standing desk that assembles in three simple steps, the Raise Desk makes ergonomic sit-to-stand technology to offices everywhere—including home offices. The assembly is so easy that it eliminates the headaches (and expenses!) that traditionally come with putting sit-to-stand desks together.
“Most sit-stand desks have a frame that you attach to the top with screws, and then you attach feet to that frame,” says Gómez. “Many of them ship in huge, heavy boxes, so we challenged ourselves to come up with a solution.”
The Raise Desk represents that solution. By acting as the core of a brand-new Raise System, the Raise furthers Poppin’s collection of flexible and intuitive furniture designed for the way people want to work.
