Viktor

Viktor’s career began at the Bulgarian Academy of Science in the Space Research Institute where he developed software for use aboard the space station MIR—we would elaborate on this accomplishment if it weren’t classified, by which we mean entirely beyond our own comprehension.

After working several years for PHILIPS (Amkmar, Holland) in the Real Time Process Control Division, Victor was invited by a small company from Long Island to develop neurological monitoring systems and platforms for remote patient diagnostics. (If you ever get the sensation that he knows what you’re thinking, you’re probably right…)

As a Development Manager with Information Builders, he led the project design, implementation for the WEB FOCUS initiative in NASA's Kennedy Space Center Shuttle Processing Directorate. His cross-industry experience includes spearheading multiple initiatives in knowledge logistics, online education, financial services, secure B2B Internet transaction processing, database systems, real-time process control, and mission critical applications in space research. Oh, and special effects for movies.

Before joining Poppin Viktor Andonov was Chief Technology Officer at Recyclebank, where, in close collaboration with the business stakeholders, he was responsible for building, leading, and mentoring a global team of over 70 software architects, engineers, project managers, database administrators, and engineering support personnel.

Viktor-the-Victor’s leadership helped Recyclebank to become “Wall Street Journal's 2011 and 2012 Top Venture Capital-backed Clean-Tech Company” and “Fast Company's #37 of the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies in the World.”

Driven by his deep belief in a work-happy world, Viktor joined the team at Poppin in 2013, bringing his vast wherewithal to the ultimate frontier: A happy work environment for both individuals and communities.

Viktor holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Technical University in Sofia, Bulgaria. Outside the office, Viktor is more likely to be found playing sports than watching them. He is an avid skier, tennis player, and a boater. He is also a Coast Guard Certified Boat Operator. We are all a lot safer with Viktor around.
